Volunteer Opportunities
Being Part of the Solution. “Now is the time for all good people to come to the aid of their party”. An old adage that still rings true these days. So, have you decided to be part of solution yet? Most people don’t want to get involved and get their hands dirty. The few do, and have an enormous impact on the destiny of our party and nation. That can be you. What can you do? What can’t you do is the better question.
Contact your neighbors. The CCRP holds training sessions for precinct captains, walkers and GOTV phoners. When neighbors contact their fellow neighbors, neighbors vote. This is where the rubber meets the road. This is where you can have a huge impact, so join the team in your precinct to register, educate and turn out the vote. Fill out the online Volunteer Form and you'll be invited to the next training session. Work the Telephone Banks. Phone Banks are planned by the individual campaigns. They provide telephones, call sheets, and good camaraderie with the other volunteer phoners. The banter that goes around the room after unusual calls is priceless. Sign up to help by filling out the online Volunteer Form and you'll be contacted when banks are set up. If you'd prefer to call from home, we support that as well. Volunteer to Help your Candidate. Become one of the team that gets your favorite candidate elected. There are always tasks that need to be done, and not enough people to adequately do them. Make a monetary donation to help pay the costs of campaigns, and your gift will be greatly appreciated. The costs of posters, signs, hand-outs, advertising, transportation, office rental, telephones, food and refreshments, etc, add up to a huge amount. Consider throwing a fundraiser yourself with a house party, and perhaps a rummage sale to raise cash. Find your current candidates on the Candidate Page.
Vote and Tell Your Friends. Vote, of course, and volunteer to drive your Republican friends to the polls if they can’t. Throw a Victory Party on Election Night for fun.
Write Letters to the Editor and Speak Before Groups. Some voters read local newspapers and handouts, so make a difference by writing letters of support for your favorite candidate. If you belong to a group that allows political discussion, step up and tell them why you are supporting your candidate. You are making a public affirmation of your Constitutional rights of Freedom of Speech. Become a Candidate. The CCRP hosts its twice yearly “Candidate Boot Camp” Campaign School. This two day seminar provides training to become a city, county, state, and national politician. If you would like to become that special Republican who works for the betterment of our nation and society, then signup for this training and become an elected official. Here are some of the topics covered: public speaking, city and county races, campaign finance, new media strategy, organizing volunteers, filing papers, fundraising events, fundraising strategy, and crafting your message. Sign up for the Newsletter to be notified when the next Boot Camp is scheduled.
